What is On Our Sleeves?

We know a lot of adults didn’t grow up talking about mental health. And because kids don’t wear their thoughts on their sleeves, we don’t know what they are going through.

We are in a national crisis.

1 in 5 children are living with a significant mental health concern and half of all lifetime mental health concerns start by age 14.

That’s why On Our Sleeves, The Movement For Children’s Mental Health is on a mission to give expert-created resources to all U.S. communities so everyone can understand and promote mental health for children. Our vision is to build a world where mental health is a part of the upbringing of every single child—but it’s no easy task.

In the past five years, The On Our Sleeves Movement for Children’s Mental Health has:

  • Reached more than 6 million people across the U.S. with content in 2023
  • Shared materials with over 5 million classrooms in all 50 states! That’s up to 100 million children reached
  • Launched a GoNoodle channel that teaches about feelings and mental health and reached nearly 7 million classrooms in just 1.5 years
  • Produced hundreds of free downloads and resources to promote mental health on our website
  • Hosted a community panel with the Surgeon General to talk about children’s mental health
  • Partnered with over a dozen youth-serving organizations to reach more kids in their communities

Every dollar raised helps us create and provide valuable resources. Gifts fund educational content, lesson plans for schools, and activities for families, coaches, and organizations.
