2024 On Our Sleeves 5K

Mammoth Mountain

Is it a mammoth on a mountain? A mountain on a mammoth? A mountain made of mammoths? We're not sure, but we do know this: we're here to have fun, do our best, and raise money for children's mental health.

The team name "Mammoth Mountain" is a combination of two very different ideas. Team captain Anna Stiles works for Zaner-Bloser, a Highlights for Children company, whose social-emotional learning curriculum Mindscapes uses several different landscapes to help K–5 students visualize and verbalize their feelings. The Mountain Mindscape represents determination, perseverance, and resilience, which are all concepts that are applicable to both running a race and overcoming mental health challenges. On the other hand, Anna's husband Trevor really likes woolly mammoths. He thought Team Mammoth would be the best name. They compromised, and team Mammoth Mountain was born.

With that being said, Mammoth Mountain is proud to participate in the 2024 On Our Sleeves 5K hosted by the Columbus Crew with founding partners, Big Lots and Nationwide!

The 5K supports On Our Sleeves, The Movement for Children's Mental Health. On Our Sleeves is on a mission to give free expert-created resources to all U.S. communities so everyone can understand and promote mental health for children.

Kids don’t wear their mental health on their sleeves, and by supporting my efforts, you are helping to break stigmas and give kids a voice. No action is too small. No voice is too young. Together, we can make mental health a part of the upbringing of every child. We hope you will join our team today!

All donations are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged by On Our Sleeves. On Our Sleeves’ Tax ID is 88-4419089.
