Team #BEAwesome Fundraising Page for the Columbus Half-Marathon

Thank you for visiting our Children's Champion page. The purpose of the Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon & ½ Marathon is to raise funds to support life-saving research and care at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

This year we are raising money to support the THRIVE Program which specializes in care for differences of sexual development, gender development, and complex urologic conditionsThe providers and staff at THRIVE are dedicated to providing multi-disciplinary, evidence-based care and support to patients and their families.

LGBTQ youth, especially trans and gender non-conforming youth, are at some of the highest risk for mental illness, suicide, homelessness, and physical and/or sexual assault. Evidence shows that youth who are supported in their homes, schools, and medical care are much less likely to experience suicidality, depression, and homelessness.

The members of Team #BEAwesome believe that trans lives matter and we want to support the team of amazing physicians, advanced practice providers, counselors, nurses, social workers, and others at the THRIVE program in their work.

Please donate to our fundraiser - 100% of every donation will go directly to the THRIVE program at Nationwide Children's hospital.
