Adyn's Dream Team

Thank you for visiting our Adyn's Dream Team page. Did you know the purpose of the Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon & ½ Marathon is to raise funds to support life-saving research and care? Nationwide Children’s Hospital is committed to treating all children regardless of their family’s ability to pay, which cannot be achieved without community support and generosity.

Last year we started Adyn's Dream Team to fundraise specifically for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Research at Nationwide Children's Hospital when Adyn was a Patient Champion for the Marathon. This year we are refocusing our fundraising efforts to an area near and dear to our hearts - the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Adyn has stayed in the PICU twice - once with pneumonia when she was 6 and again after her spinal surgery in 2018. This is where the sickest of sick kids stay. It's not a place you ever want to be.

Recently we had dear friends whose 10 year old daughter spent a tumultuous 3.5 weeks in the PICU at University of Virgina Children's Hospital and unfortunately passed away after battling septic shock and respiratory failure. In honor of Norah, we would like to contribute our fundraising efforts this year to the care of critically ill children here at Nationwide Children's Hospital. We will be running for those who cannot and we hope you will help by donating what you can to our fundraising effort.
