Hello! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. My name is Jason Weimer and I am the proud father to three little girls, Grace, Ella and Paige. As someone who began to struggle with depression and anxiety at a young age, I know firsthand how important receiving love and support can be for children. Not only do I want to ensure that my own children are well supported, should they ever need the resources that NCH can provide, I firmly believe that all children should have access to these same resources. Running has been a powerful tool for me when it comes to addressing my mental health. My girls will often join me for a mile or two and we find a shared joy in the simple act of moving our bodies. On October 15th, 2023, I will run the Nationwide Children's Columbus Marathon, raising money and awareness for On Our Sleeves. While my goal is $1,500, I'd love to far exceed this. Your support is so appreciated.
With Love,
Jason
One in five children is living with a serious mental illness that interferes with everyday life and half of all lifetime mental health concerns start by age 14. On Our Sleeves is the movement to transform children’s mental health through education, advocacy and research. Kids don’t wear their mental health on their sleeves, so there is an unprecedented need for evidence-informed resources and support for children. Our mission is to provide every community in America with free resources necessary for breaking child mental health stigmas and educating families and advocates - because no child or family should struggle alone.
All donations are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged by Nationwide Children’s Foundation.
