As a Licensed Professional Counselor on the Youth Crisis Stabilization Unit in the Big Lots Behavioral Health Pavilion at Nationwide Children's Hospital, I work with kids and teens every day who struggle with their mental health. In our society today, there is still a stigma associated with mental health and seeking help. We work to break those stigmas and advocate for the mental health of our patients, their families, and our community. I am thankful every day for the opportunity to help those who seek it and teach me more and more about the resiliency of the human spirit.
The Butterfly Run, presented by Big Lots, is a community fitness event to grow awareness, break stigmas, and raise funds for lifesaving pediatric behavioral health research at Nationwide Children's Hospital. More than just another 5K run and walk, The Butterfly Run is an event for anyone around the country to come together to advocate and improve outcomes for children living with mental illness. Invest in the future of children's mental health. Join me in this On Our Sleeves movement for children’s mental health.
All donations are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged by Nationwide Children’s Foundation.
