My Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon & 1/2 Marathon Fundraising Page!

Thank you for visiting my Children's Champion page and "THANK YOU" to everyone who helped make us the #1 fundraising page for the Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon in 2019.
This year has challenged us and really changed us in ways we never thought imaginable. In fact, the Marathon itself has changed this year and is now a virtual fundraiser that encourages participants to engage and contribute in other ways. Should you feel so inclined to donate, that option is still there and your contributions will help provide care for patients regardless of their families ability to pay and also raise funds for life saving research and care that the hospital provides to children from all 50 states and over 60 countries worldwide. Since there is no marathon this year, and we can't pay off with a run, we're going to match the first $500 in donations and run at least a mile a day during September, which is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
There are more ways are other ways to make an impact and contribute beyond donating. You can donate unopened toys to the hospital (Theo loved playing with cars there, just saying), make homemade cards to let patients know that we're all supporting them while they might not be able to see all of their friends and family during this time or donate your time and volunteer at the hospital if you're nearby. You can even participate in getting up and moving on your own with small runs and walks and dedicate them to the Patient Champions who I encourage you to look up here.
Someday, we'll get back to normal. Someday, we'll all (stupidly) get together and run 13 and 26 miles in one day and high five all those Patient Champions without any concern as we pass them each mile. But while we're waiting, children at Nationwide Children's are still going to need surgery and treatments and that is something that can't be postponed or delayed. We may not be local anymore but The Butterflies, as Theo calls NCH, is a place we took both of our children when they needed care and we cannot be more appreciative for what they did for us and what they do continuously for other families.
Please consider supporting the most meaningful marathon in the country by making a donation today.
