My Dad is a funny and a Champion for kids!
Thank you for visiting my Children's Champion page. My daughter Gianna has SCN8A epilepsy and inspires me every day!
SCN8A epilepsy is a terrible disease. Unrelenting seizures even with multiple medications and the ketogenic diet. It has impacted her physical and social development and carries a high risk of SUDEP. No kid deserves to be burdened with this disease. Caring for Gianna is not easy but her smile has taught me so much and she has made me a better person.
This year I will not be running the marathon. Instead our family will be cheering on the other athletes at Mile 24. But don't worry...we are running the 5K the day before!
