In February of 2020, 7 months and one lifetime ago, I stood onstage as Nationwide Children's Hospital officially celebrated the opening of the Big Lots Behavioral Health Pavilion. As a guest speaker, I was given the amazing opportunity to share a message about BREAKING STIGMA. And as a parent, that is the message I continue to share.
The Butterfly Run, presented by Big Lots, is a community fitness event to grow awareness, break stigmas, and raise funds for lifesaving pediatric behavioral health research at Nationwide Children's Hospital. More than just another 5K run and walk, The Butterfly Run is an event for anyone around the country to come together to advocate and improve outcomes for children living with mental illness. Invest in the future of children's mental health. Join me in this On Our Sleeves movement for children’s mental health.
I know that now is a tough time to be asked for monetary contributions; please, take care of your family's needs first. But if you can spare something for this important movement, I thank you in advance for the statement you are making about the value of our children's mental health. #nomorestigma
