Thank you for visiting my Children's Champion page. 11 years ago to the date, I ran the Columbus Marathon as my first official marathon finish. Did you know that was the first year of their partnership with Nationwide Children's Hospital?Did you know the purpose of the Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon & ½ Marathon is to raise funds to support life-saving research and care? 

I began running marathons seriously after my little brother was diagnosed with a bone tumor in his shin and Nationwide Children’s Hospital performed the surgery. Thankfully, he was ok but due to this tumor, he no longer could run marathons. That is when I decided to commit to running for him and help NCH meet their fundraising goal whenever I can. NCH is committed to treating all children regardless of their family’s ability to pay, which cannot be achieved without community support and generosity. 

I am participating in the race once again in hopes to raise more money than I did previously. This year in 2023, will be my third time raising money for Children's Hospital and this will be my 229th marathon 11 years in the making. I am determined to help children from all 50 states and more than 60 countries treated at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Won’t you join me in helping kids everywhere?
