As Treasurer of the Development Board of Nationwide Children's Hospital and prior chair of the Duck Race, I committed to help raise funds to support pediatric research at the Abigail Wexner Research Institute. The institute supports the discovery of new knowledge and its translation into novel therapeutics and diagnostic tests to advance pediatric research and improve the health and quality of life for children and their families. The impact on children who previously had little hope, including our son Luke, has truly been remarkable.
We are excited to have the Duck Race back to Riverside Crossing Park next to Bridge Park in Dublin. Join us on Saturday July 20th as we race thousands of rubber duck racers down a 300ft water slide and have our Patient Champion pluck three lucky duck winners of cash prizes: $3000, $2000, or $1000. It is a morning of family friendly fun, complete with face painters, balloon artists, and games that you won't want to miss!
To be entered into the Duck Race and join me in supporting Nationwide Children's Hospital, donate through my event page using the "Donate Now" button.
The following donations enter rubber ducks as participants in the race:
Solo Duck - $10
Family of Ducks - $25 - 3 Racer Ducks
Family of Ducks - $50 - 10 Racer Ducks
Family of Ducks - $100 - 20 Racer Ducks
Family of Ducks - $250- 50 Racer Ducks
Family of Ducks - $500- 100 Racer Ducks
You can also support pediatric research by purchasing a special Duck Race t-shirt, tumbler, tote bag, or superhero cape for your kids, all designed by MADFuns and produced by BeeGeeTees, here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/MADFuns (click "Columbus Duck Race" on the side). 30% of all proceeds will be donated to the Duck Race.
Our family knows firsthand how important and life-changing the work is at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Thank you for joining me in supporting this cause.
Changing lives one duck at a time!
