I am participating in the 2024 On Our Sleeves 5K hosted by the Columbus Crew with founding partners, Big Lots and Nationwide!
The 5K supports On Our Sleeves, The Movement for Children's Mental Health. On Our Sleeves is on a mission to give free expert-created resources to all U.S. communities so everyone can understand and promote mental health for children.
Kids don’t wear their mental health on their sleeves, and by supporting my efforts, you are helping to break stigmas and give kids a voice. No action is too small. No voice is too young. It's no secret to many of you that I have experienced a lot of struggles with mental health and well-being from an early age. When I received my diagnosis of OCD as an adult, I was finally able to access effective medication and treatment. I can't begin to imagine how earlier access to this diagnosis and treatment could've revolutionized my childhood. I hope you will join me in supporting the On Our Sleeves cause, so more children will have increased access to reliable mental health resources and support. No one should feel ashamed or silenced by their struggles with mental health!
