Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our fundraiser site! On Saturday, May 4th our whole family will be participating in the On Our Sleeves 5K which supports the Nationwide Children's On Our Sleeves movement for children's mental health.
In some way, mental illness touches everyone. Like us, you may also know a family member, friend, colleague, or even a child who lived or is currently living with a mental disorder. Did you know 1 in 5 children are living with a significant mental health concern and half of all lifetime mental health concerns start by age 14? Because children don’t wear their thoughts on their sleeves, it's time to give them a voice.
The mission of On Our Sleeves is to provide every family in America access to free, evidence-informed educational resources to break stigmas and educate children, parents, and family members about children’s mental health. Every dollar raised helps create and provide these valuable resources. Gifts fund educational content, lesson plans for schools, and activities for families, schools, and organizations.
