Thank you for visiting my Children's Champion page.

My son, Billy, has been a patient of Nationwide Children’s Hospital since 2013 when he was diagnosed with Legg Calves Perthes, a rare hip disorder.  In 2015, Billy proudly represented the orthopedics department at mile 15 in his first year as a Patient Champion and has continued to represent at the Encore Mile each marathon.  This year, Billy's brother Joey will be joining me for his first 13.1 mile journey.

Billy's strength and perseverance over the last decade was nothing short of amazing, smiling through all that he endured.  He continues to be my inspiration.  The tradition to honor him will continue.  "Billy's Mom" will be on my race bib.

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is committed to treating all children regardless of their family’s ability to pay, which cannot be achieved without community support and generosity. I am participating in the half marathon for this mission and I am determined to help children from all 50 states and more than 60 countries treated at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
