Running the NCH half marathon this year in honor of all the kids we so desperately hope to heal. Many years ago I met a family who thanked us all with a beautiful photo and a caption that read, “Thank you for helping us hold on to our child.” It’s been a motivating force for me ever since.
This year I run for Allie, for Maggie, for Sam, for Connor, for Macy, for Augie, for Bryce and for Libby. 
This run is also dedicated to my cousin Paul, who fought the good fight and finished his race ahead of us. He will no doubt be cheering us on with a good pint in hand. We love you and miss you.
