Nationwide Children’s has always held a special place in our hearts. Sean’s sister, Jennifer, has been a heart patient since she was 6 months old. When Sean was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma back in Jan 2020, a new family was created with all the doctors, nurses and staff at NCH.
Sean fought so hard for over 4 years. We would get so close to remission and then more tumors would be found. His faith, humor and love for life is what drew most people to him - and of course that smile with those dimples ❤
Sean passed away on May 12 of this year. Our hearts are broken and our tears haven’t subsided. He’s left such a huge void, but we know his life in heaven has to be magnificent - pain free, running…whole.
In order to help others battling, we’ve created this page to raise funds for the oncology department at NCH. We will also be running the 1/2 marathon in his honor. He loved races when he was younger, so it only seems fitting we take part in one so close to our hearts.

Our bibs will say Seanstrong on them. Anyone who signs up for the race please let us know!! We will be ordering everyone shirts as a thank you for supporting NCH and our family .
We’d like to get a group photo the beginning of the races - even though we are running the 1/2 on Sunday, anyone signing up for the 5k we will be there cheering you on and getting that group photo too!!
