Lillian Lee Snyder was born July 1, 2019. Within 24 hours of her birth, she was diagnosed with a rare heart condition known as Taussig Bing Anomaly. Over the next 17 days, Lilly underwent two open heart surgeries. She fought hard, but ultimately the burden of her condition was too much for our little girl. While her time on this earth was brief, Lilly showed incredible resilience, strength and fighting spirit. While the outcome was heartbreaking, our family owes a tremendous amount of thanks to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The entire team at the Heart Center was exceptional, with everyone involved being supportive of our entire family. We were particularly impressed with the nursing staff that provided care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, tending to Lilly’s every need. Mature, knowledgeable, and patient, the nurses not only administered care for Lilly, but created a positive environment during this difficult time. They represent the best of Nationwide Children’s Hospital. A person’s life is not measured by its length, but the impact made. To that end, we honor Lilly and the fire that burned so brightly within her by establishing the Lillian Lee Snyder “Shine Bright” Endowment Fund. The Fund recognizes her spirit which carries on with our family. Your donation will directly support the Nationwide Children’s Heart Center’s nursing program. The Fund will award an annual scholarship to a Registered Nurse that wishes to advance their career within the pediatric cardiac specialty. In addition, funds will also be allocated for those pursuing continued education and undertaking research within the Heart Center. We’re going to celebrate Lilly for the rest of our lives, and we’re thankful you’ve chosen to support her legacy. Kyle, Megan, Theo, and Madison Snyder Please complete the form below.
