Jokisch Children's Champs Page
Five years ago our youngest son spent two weeks of his first three months at Children's when two viruses shut down his lungs. It was very difficult but the good people in the PICU helped him (and us) pull through it.
He's now a rambunctious, five year old who loves music, puzzles, art, nature, all types of stories, and of course wrestling and fighting with his seven year old brother. I ran my first marathon five years ago in honor of him and to raise money for Children's; the fifth anniversary is a good opportunity to do it again.
We have been fortunate, but other families have bigger struggles that last much longer. I encourage you to donate to Children's because I know the good work they do for children and their families; it does a lot of good for people who need it.
